M.A Humm Ltd are pleased to have supported a local main contractor and long standing client in securing this substantial residential extension and refurbishment project in Fingringhoe, Essex. The scheme combines extensions and a loft conversion with extensive structural alterations, refurbishment of the existing house, garage construction, annexe works and improvements to the surrounding grounds.

The works include:

• Extensions and reconfiguration of the existing home, including dining and sun-room accommodation.
• Loft conversion and new dormers, with alterations to the roof structure and retention of the distinctive belvedere feature.
• Structural steelwork, underpinning, foundation works and alterations to existing floors and loadbearing walls.
• Thermal upgrades, new partitions, plaster finishes, internal joinery, staircases and decoration.
• Construction of a new garage and works to the annexe, including ground-floor alterations, windows and floor finishes.
• Electrical installation and builders’ work associated with specialist services.
• Attendance on client-procured glazing, plumbing and heating, tiling, sanitaryware and internet/AV packages.
• External drainage alterations, sewage treatment plant works and utility provisions.
• Extensive landscaping, balcony decking, external brickwork repairs and cleaning.
